Briana Yorks is a portrait and still life painter as well as textile artist. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in visual art. She does work about the human experience as well as current events. She likes to focus on topics like LGBTQ rights, feminism, and mental health and how these things affect people in ways that are hard to explain. Bri often has a hard time putting her thoughts into words, so art is a way she is able to express these thoughts. This is also a way she can process the world around her and cope with everyday life and struggles that we as a whole face. She hopes that her work touches those who gaze upon it and allows deeper thought about what her work means to the viewer. Bri also wants to make a difference with her art and highlight topics that need to be talked about within society and allow others to see from a different perspective. Briana currently resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and works in the area.
